FMs urged to take the Tower Test

FMs who have staff working on mobile access towers are being called on to perform health and safety to raise awareness of injury.

The Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers' Association (PASMA), a trade association for the mobile access tower industry, has been campaigning this year to ensure that people using towers know the importance of keeping safe and using the right equipment. Falls from height remain a major cause of injury at work.

This weeks is Tower Week and PASMA is highlighting its Not on Your Life campaign, which explains what makes a safe or unsafe tower and offers a range of other advice on a dedicated website.

One of the key focuses of Tower Week this year is the Tower Test. The test has been designed to highlight the most common issues that health and safety inspectors find on site.

More details about what happens during Tower week will be revealed as the week appraoches, both on the website above and on PASMA's site.
