Health and Safety Compliance: The Transition to Digital
On Tuesday 12th March
2019, C365Cloud’s James Elwis and Ella Surtees attended the Direct Works Forum
after being invited to present by the Chair, Keith Simpson. The Direct Works
Forum was founded twenty years ago and is a representative body for Housing
Associations, Local Authorities and RSLs. The forum has 115 members, managing
over 2,000,000 properties. The organisation runs quarterly seminars where
various topics relevant to the housing sector are discussed.
March’s seminar covered the use of software to aid compliance in the housing
sector and invited a handful of speakers from the industry to share their thoughts,
expertise and experiences.
C365Cloud supply compliance management software, so it was the perfect
opportunity to explore the topic from a supplier’s perspective. The theme of our
presentation was the transition to digital compliance, where we discussed the benefits
of C365Cloud’s mobile forms, digital logbooks, dashboards and audit trails when
managing health and safety in the housing sector. We were joined by Bob
Stevens, the Head of Health and Safety at Anchor Hanover Group (formerly Anchor
Trust and Hanover Housing Association).
Bob began by explaining the challenges that Hanover faced prior to deploying
C365Cloud. He discussed how they managed many of their Health and Safety processes
on paper forms and spreadsheets which hindered the visibility of compliance and
caused difficulty when analysing data and information.
C365Cloud has reduced
many of Hanover’s challenges in managing Health and Safety by using incident
and accident reporting, risk assessments, task management and bespoke log
books. This has allowed them to monitor compliance, increase visibility across
their estate and most importantly, reduce risk.
