Trust’s Estates department wins top industry award

Staff from East Cheshire NHS Trust's Estates Department are celebrating after winning a top industry award in partnership with contractors C365Cloud.

The award, for Best Evidence-Based Compliance with Estates and Facilities-related CQC Standards, was presented to the team by trade publication Building Better Healthcare at a ceremony in London in November.

The award recognises estates and facilities management services that can evidence awareness of and compliance with CQC standards.

The judges were looking for examples of improvement against current standards and how estates and facilities departments play a key role within their organisation in responding to CQC standards.

Head of Estates, Rob Few, said, "The award is testament to our commitment to driving and taking charge of change, rather than standing by and letting it happen. Ultimately this brings efficiencies and cost savings which in turn help the trust's financial position and quality of care of patients."
